Joshua Iwanicki

Case Manager

Josh is dedicated to helping individuals in their recovery journey as a Case Manager at Pioneer Behavioral Health, where he supports clients in outpatient mental health and dual diagnosis treatment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Westfield State University.

Josh began his career in behavioral health through inpatient treatment, starting in operational support before transitioning into direct counseling and eventually serving as a primary therapist. This progression gave him a unique, well-rounded perspective—seeing firsthand both the structural and clinical sides of care. Through these experiences, he developed a strong appreciation for the complexity of recovery and the importance of meeting individuals where they are.

At the heart of Josh’s work is a belief that healing begins with connection. He is driven by a deep commitment to fostering trust, empowering clients to discover their strengths, and helping them navigate challenges with compassion and resilience. His approach blends clinical knowledge with empathy, ensuring that clients feel supported not only in their recovery but also in their growth as whole individuals.

Outside of his professional work, Josh continues to expand his knowledge through his graduate studies, research, and collaboration with colleagues in the field. He is passionate about contributing to the evolving landscape of behavioral health, with the goal of creating more accessible, person-centered care for all.

“While it is always great to believe in oneself, a little help from others can be a great blessing”  -Uncle Iroh
